Why Contacts matter
Every journey starts with a person, but not every person is ready to buy or sell today. Some are months away. Some need a lot of nurturing before they're ready to make a move. And that time counts too.
Contacts in Rayse are built around the people you're actually working with:
Clients who are ready, willing and able to buy or sell
Warmer leads who need more time and attention before they're ready
Colleagues who work alongside you on a journey
Vendors like your home inspector, stager and lender
That way, the time you invest in a relationship is never lost, even before a journey begins.
Your working contacts, not your entire CRM
Rayse isn't meant to replace your CRM. There's no need to import your entire database. (We'd hate to see three active journeys and 5,000 contacts!) Add the people you're actively working with, nurturing, or collaborating with, and keep your full sphere where it already lives.
Three easy ways to add contacts
1. Just tell Rae
Speak or type to Rae: "Add Sarah Patel as a new client. Her email is sarah@example.com." Rae adds the contact for you. You can do this from your desktop or the mobile app.
2. Pull them from your calendar
When someone on one of your calendar appointments isn't in your contacts yet, Rayse notices. Go to My plan, select Log updates, and you'll find them under Contacts, ready to add in a click.
3. Create them when you start a journey
Add the people involved as you create a new buyer or seller journey, or add them later from Journey contacts. You can also start a journey directly from a contact's page.
You can also select Add contact on the Contacts page, or use Import to bring in a list. Name and email are all you need to get started.
Clients and colleagues
When you add a contact, you choose the Kind:
Client: someone you're helping buy or sell, including potential clients you're still nurturing.
Colleague: other agents, loan officers, transaction coordinators, vendors, team members and industry contacts.
Why add your vendors and colleagues?
When your home inspector, stager, lender or co-agent is in your contacts and attached to the right journey, Rae can connect the dots. A call with the lender or an inspection on your calendar can be tied to the right property journey, so the work you do with your team shows up where it belongs.
And remember: Rae won't do anything without your permission. Rae suggests and asks, but you review and confirm before anything is added to a journey or shared with a client.
What you'll find on a contact's page
Select any contact to see:
Time invested: the total time you've spent with this person
Timeline: meetings, calls, showings and other work you or Rae logged
To-dos, Journeys and Questions connected to this person
This is especially helpful for warmer leads. Even before they're ready for a journey, you can see every conversation and every hour you've invested in the relationship.
Keep your list tidy
On the Contacts page, filter by All, Clients, Colleagues, In Journey or Missing info. The Missing info filter shows contacts without an email or phone number, so you can fill in the gaps.
Tip: Add an email for every contact. Email is how Rayse matches people to your calendar events, so complete contacts mean less manual work later.
Good to know
Your contacts are private. Clients never see your contact list.
Stay compliant. Use contact information only for lawful, authorized purposes, and follow privacy, consent, email, text messaging and brokerage requirements.
Your Contacts training path

Rae: Using Voice or Text to Capture Your Work: add contacts and log work by voice or text.
Connecting Your Calendar to Rayse: connect your calendar so Rayse can spot new people in your appointments.
My Plan: Log Updates: add people from your calendar who aren't in your contacts yet.
Step 3: Connect contacts to journeys
Journey — Contacts and Inviting Your Client: add clients and colleagues to a journey and invite your client.
Assigning Work to a Co-Agent: hand a journey to-do to a colleague on the same journey.
Step 4: See the time you've invested
